Responses to Two bids

The weakness response to an opening Two bid is Two No Trump. With less than about 6 points it should be your first response:

Clearly you will respond Two No Trump to an opening Two Spades. If the opening is Two of any other suit, you still begin with Two No Trump and show support later.

Any response other than Two No Trump is a positive response and promises some values:

Raise Two Spades to Three Spades, or Two Clubs to Three Clubs. Over Two Hearts or Two Diamonds, however, you should respond Two No Trump.
